Continued Growth and Economic Development

Leander has to continue to encourage growth by supporting local businesses and helping to create new jobs. The city has a large amount of people that seek employment outside of our city. We need to continue to market our city nationally. Chris has been involved in several companies coming to Leander over the past several years.
When we attract new business to Leander we can help to diversify the tax base that will eventually help to create stability in the city's development. This means that the residents will not be the majority tax payers in Leander.

Transportation

I have worked to make sure the road bond projects on Bagdad and 2243 along with Crystal Falls Blvd are completed or underway as well as supported the efforts for improvements to the County Glenn subdivision that should start later in the year. I have worked with other Cities and Capital Metro to continue forward movement with the Redline Express Rail opperation.

City Employees

I will continue to support the City Planners and Staff. I support 100% the Police Department, Fire Department and the need for full time employment. Leander has one of the lowest crime rates in the county and this is because of the talent we have and can recruit. Anything other than this support will risk the safety of our families and city. Our Police and Fire Departments are both award winning.


Community

I support the current and future growth of Leander and consider this my strong point as I am very experienced with business growth and development. We have to look at not only the current needs but future needs of the City while still maintaining the small town atmosphere we all want and love. I support the community activities like National Night Out, Block Parties, Liberty Fest, Fall Fest, the Christmas Parade and tree lighting. I want my family to look back one day and be very thankful they were able to grow up in a small town while still getting the best education, being able to shop at local stores and eat out at the best restaurants.
